Malawi Women’s football star Tabitha Chawinga has won the 2023/24 D1Arkema Player of the Season award for showing impressive performance in her debut season in France.
The Paris Saint Germain(PSG) striker has beaten her team mate Grace Geroyo and Lindsey Horan of Olympic Lyonnais for the top award.
Writing on her Facebook page, Chiwanga, said:” Glory to God. Player of the Season 2023-2024.”
The Malawi’s ‘Pangolin’ is also set to win the golden boot award in the league as she has netted 18 goals for PSG.
Last week, she was also named Player of the Month for March.
Tabitha also won the similar award in her debut season in Italy while playing for Inter Milan Women last season where she scored 23 goals in 21 matches.
She then won the golden boot award.
This achievement is a testament to Chawinga’s hard work and dedication to the sport, and she continues to make Malawi proud with her impressive performances on the international stage.
