Silver into FDH Cup Semifinals after beating KB 2-0, 3-1 on aggregate

Silver Strikers are through to the semi-finals of the FDH Cup after beating Kamuzu Barracks 2-0 at Champion Stadium on Sunday to win the match 3-1 on aggregate.
The Central Bankers scored a goal in each half to edge out the Lilongwe based soldiers and book themselves a place in the semifinals.
The first leg that took place a fortnight ago at Chitowe Stadium in Dwanga, ended 1-all with goals coming from Sammy Chiponda and Chawanangwa Kaonga for KB and Silver respectively.
On Sunday, Patrick Macheso gave the visitors a lead just three minutes from kick-off and Levison Maganizo sent the stadium into delirium when he thumped in the second goal in the dying minutes to seal the victory for the capital city giants.
After the game, Silver Strikers player Haddy Ng’andu was voted man of the match and received K50, 000 from Airtel
Silver will now face Nyasa Big Bullets who thumped Karonga United 8-1 on aggregate to reach the semi-final stage.
Silver Strikers are the most successful team in this competition having won the cup twice.
