Patrick Lonjezo Chimimba is now Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Silver Strikers Football Club who is expected to run the club starting from January, 2024.
His recruitment was announced on Saturday evening at the club’s house in Lilongwe.
In his remarks, Silver Strikers Vice Board Chairperson George Chiusiwa, said the choice of Chimimba premised on the need to have an experienced and innovative person who can make the game of football happen and take the team to new heights.
“Patrick Chimimba brings a wealth of experience to the role of CEO at Silver Strikers Football Club.
“With a proven track record in sports management, public administration, resource mobilization and people management, he has demonstrated leadership, strategic vision and a passion for excellence,” he said.
On his part, Chimimba pledged to take the team to the community, forward and make it a success, and one that people will love to associate with.
The new CEO also pledged to transform the status of the club.
Chimimba holds a Master of Science Degree in Management Studies from the Malawi School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Malawi.
