Bullets advance to Airtel Top-8 finals after beating Silver Strikers 3-1

Nyasa Big Bullets are through to the finals of this year’s Airtel Top-8 Cup following their 3-1 victory over Silver Strikers on Saturday afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Gomezgani Chirwa opened the scoring for the Ndirande outfit 22 minutes in the first half when he scored 35-yards from the right flank, curving the ball past goalkeeper Emmas Nyirenda into the top corner.



Ernest Petro scored the second goal for the People’s team in 55th minute after he capitalized on a defensive blander from Silver defenders.

Patrick Mwaungulu who was also voted man of the match after the game was the scorer for Bullets’ last goal in the 71st minute.

Stain Davie pulled one back for the capital city giants in the 66th minute but it was not enough to keep them in the contest.

Bullets will now face the winner between Mighty Wanderers and Blue Eagles who are also playing on the same venue in another semi-final clash on Sunday.

This is Bullets’ second cup final this year as they won FDH Cup in October.
