A Commission of Inquiry on the recent arrest of Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General, Martha Chizuma has been sworn in today at Kamuzu Palace, during an event presided over by State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
The commission is expected to submit it’s findings by December 30th after 14 working days.
Speaking to the newly sworn in Commission, Chakwera said he expects them to establish the truth and come up with recommendations to determine the course of action on the matters established and earn public trust.
He said the commission has been established to outrange political sensationalism, deep culture of gossip, lies and slander by nameless sources all which have come following Chizuma’s arrest.
The commission chaired by Justice Edward Twea retired, has ten other commissioners and Frank Kalowamfumbi from Office of President and Cabinet is serving as it’s secretary.
