A boost for Malawi’s football nostalgia as ProPack throws its weight behind the Football Legends Association (FLA) with a K5 million sponsorship deal for the upcoming international friendly match against Zambia Legends.

The industrial packaging products manufacturer made the generous gesture in recognition of FLA’s efforts in inspiring young football talents and shaping the country’s football future, said MacMillan M’bwana, ProPack’s Human Resources Manager, during a symbolic cheque presentation in Blantyre.

“We believe FLA is doing a tremendous job, and we’re committed to supporting sports activities that promote excellence in Malawi,” M’bwana affirmed, highlighting ProPack’s dedication to nurturing local talent.

FLA trustee Mary Woodworth welcomed the support, expressing optimism that it will significantly contribute to hosting a memorable match at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this Sunday.

The sponsorship is part of a broader effort to galvanize support for the football legends, with cyclists from Blantyre and Mulanje cycling clubs set to pedal from Blantyre to Lilongwe on Friday in a show of solidarity.

The cycling event underscores the growing excitement around the match, with the football fraternity eagerly anticipating a thrilling encounter between Malawi and Zambia’s football veterans.

As the countdown begins, FLA is gearing up to deliver an unforgettable experience, with ProPack’s support injecting much-needed momentum into the event.
