President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has emphasised the need for local Malawians to invest significantly in the country to help achieve its goals.

He made the remarks during a visit to the Cement Products Limited, Njereza Plant in the area of Senior Chief Mponda in Mangochi.

The President stated that there is a great need for investment across all sectors of development, highlighting that local Malawians should be the first to invest to facilitate the country’s progress.

While recognising the challenges faced by tourism companies such as Rosalyn Beach Hotel due to high water levels in Lake Malawi, he commended them for their resilience in continuing their operations.
