Mabedi names 31-man provisional squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Malawi national football team head coach, Patrick Mabedi, has announced a 31-man provisional squad of local-based players to begin camp on Monday in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.
The Flames will host Sao Tome at Bingu National Stadium on Thursday, June 6, 2024, before facing Equatorial Guinea away in Malabo four days later.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Communications Director, Gomezgani Zakazaka, the team will camp in Blantyre for two weeks before moving to Lilongwe on May 27, 2024.
