Hip-hop star Martse in Intensive Care after fire accident

Multi-award-winning Hip hop artist Martse, who suffered serious burns in a fire accident, has now been referred to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre where he is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Martse, real-name Martin Nkhata, was rushed to Mangochi district hospital before being referred to Zomba Central hospital on Friday afternoon after suffering burns and injuries when a house he was sleeping in caught fire in Monkeybay, Mangochi district.
Police in Mangochi say they are investigating on what might have caused the fire but unconfirmed reports indicate that the fire might have been caused by a gas leakage in the house.
Meanwhile social media is flooded with ‘get well soon’ messages from different celebraties and music followers across the country.
Martse who came in the limelight in 2013 after releasing his first hit single “Go deeper” is also known by other hit songs like “Mwano” which was released in 2015 and featured Kell Kay as well as his 2020 hit single “Mkatimo” which he featured Hyphen and Barry One.
