Kell Kay Donates K5 Million to Help Stranded Malawians Return from South Africa

Popular Malawian musician Kell Kay has donated K5 million to assist Malawians stranded in South Africa to return home as efforts to repatriate them gather momentum.
The singer announced the donation through a statement posted on his official Facebook page, saying he has been supporting fellow Malawians at the Malawi High Commission’s temporary camps in Sunninghill and Sandton over the past few days.
According to Kell Kay, he has been providing food and other essential supplies to those staying at the camps while they await arrangements to travel back to Malawi.
He said that with the repatriation exercise now approaching, he decided to contribute K5 million to help cover transport costs for those preparing to return home.

The musician expressed hope that the financial support will ease the burden on affected families and ensure more Malawians can safely make the journey back to their communities.
His contribution comes at a time when many Malawians in South Africa are appealing for assistance following difficult circumstances that have left them seeking urgent help.
Authorities and humanitarian partners are currently coordinating plans to facilitate the return of the affected citizens, with many expected to arrive in Malawi within the next few days.
