Just days to the kick off of the 2022 TNM Super League season, Salima based Mafco FC have secured a kit sponsorship deal with NBS Bank.
The team’s Vice chairperson Captain Cedric Allan Chisale confirmed the development with Malawiana Times saying the support is timely and has boosted the team’s spirits ahead of the new season.
He said, “Our partnership with NBS is a long term agreement and it demonstrates the interest that the corporate world has over the game of football. We are really grateful.”
On his part, NBS Senior cluster manager for the Central and Northern regions Justin Chikaonda said the bank critically supports effort to commercialize the game hence the move to partner with Mafco.
The Salima based outfit finished eighth in last season’s TNM Super League season.
NBS Bank has recently been showing a big interest in local football having already sponsored the Fam Charity Shield and partnered with TNM and Nzika Flood Response in organising the just ended Nzika-Pamtseke Bonanza.
