Nyasa Bullets ends Civil service FC Unbeaten run
Left back Precious Sambani’s last minute strike and Chiukepo Msowoya’s 17th minute goal have enabled Nyasa Big bullets to bag three points over Civil Service FC in a TNM Super League match played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.
Striker Muhammad Sulumba gave Civil followers some false hopes when he netted in the 15th minute, but Bullets equalised two minutes later through Msowoya.And when everybody thought the two sides will share the spoils, Sambani grabbed the winner in injury time to end Civil’s unbeaten run in the campaign.
Bullets have since climbed up to second position with 25 points from 12 games, with Civil climbing down to third position with 24 points from 13 games.Elsewhere, Moyale have moved up to nineth position following their 1-0 win over Mzuzu Warriors at Mzuzu Stadium. Lloyd Njaliwa secured the points for the military side.
Enterprising midfielder Chimwemwe Idana was named Man-of-the-Match after his side, Nyasa Big Bullets came from behind to claim a 2-1 home win over Civil Service FC at Kamuzu Stadium.
They now have 18 points from 13 games while Mzuzu Warriors, formerly Mzuni FC, anchor the 16 member log table with 8 points from 12 games.At Civo Stadium, Kamuzu Barracks beat Chitipa United 1-0, thanks to Gregory Nachipo’s goal.Silver Strikers, who are hosting Chitipa United at Silver Stadium on Sunday, top the log table with 28 points from 12 games.
