King Kavina pledges support to local football teams

 King Msaiwale Kavina, the owner of Champions Stadium in Mponela, Dowa, has donated K40 million to two Super League teams, Kamuzu Barracks and Blue Eagles.

Each club received K20 million, providing much-needed financial support to help them navigate their challenges.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Kavina explained that his decision to support the two teams was motivated by their regular use of Champions Stadium.



He expressed his desire to ease their financial burdens and help them thrive in the competitive world of football.

The gesture was met with gratitude from both teams.

Blue Eagles Chief Administration Officer Muhammad Ali and Kamuzu Barracks Chairperson Major Dickson Mhango hailed Kavina for his generosity, acknowledging that the financial support would go a long way in addressing critical needs at their respective clubs.

“This donation is a game-changer for us,” said Ali, adding that,”We are grateful to King Kavina for his kindness and support. We promise to make the most of this opportunity and bring glory to our clubs.”

Major Mhango echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of Kavina’s support in helping Kamuzu Barracks achieve its goals.

“We are thankful for King Kavina’s generosity,” he said, adding that,”This donation will help us address some of our pressing needs and focus on our performance in the league.”
