Phalombe First Grade Magistrate through First Grade Magistrate Leonard Fletcher Mtosa has on Monday released on bail musician Joe Gwaladi, “the born again” who was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife.
Gwaladi was arrested on Monday last week on allegations that he assaulted and injured his wife, resulting in the amputation of her left toe.
In his ruling, Mtosa warned Gwaladi to refrain from any form of assault or emotional abuse towards his wife, cautioning that the court would revoke bail if he breaches this condition.
As part of his bail conditions, Gwaladi has been instructed to provide two sureties each bonded at K200,000.
Meanwhile,the case has been adjourned to Monday next week.
On Friday last week,Mtosa denied Gwaladi bail on grounds that he has been violating his past bail conditions in previous cases.
