Police nab 3 illegal fuel vendors in Limbe

In Limbe,Blantyre, Police have on Wednesday arrested three illegal fuel vendors and confiscated from them jerricans containing 100 litres of fuel.

According to Aubrey Singanyama Spokesperson for Limbe Police, the three are; Austin Tiyesi, 37, Julio Luciano, 38 and Emmanuel Kuntambala, 33.

Singanyama said through, USAMALA operation, the police managed to arrest the suspects who were selling petroleum products in the area.

Meanwhile, the police have advised the general public to refrain from storing fuel in their homes saying, it is illegal and dangerous.

Tiyesi comes from Mwahala village whilst Luciano is from Nakule village both under Traditional Authority(TA) Nkalo in Chiradzulu district while Kuntambala hails from Maone village in the area of Traditional Authority(TA) Sitola in Machinga district.

They are expected to appear before court soon to answer the charges.
