All is set for the teaser trailer for a Malawian movie titled ‘ Is the President dead?’ on June 26, 2023.
Directed by Isaac Misoya from Blantyre, the film seeks to teach Malawians more of being responsible as the citizens and the conspiracy in the government.
In an interview, Misoya said:”The great lesson in the movie is that the government is us all.We do not have more expectations if we are not responsible to contribute to the development.
“The corruption is one of the greatest enemy to our development. In this movie people will learn how Thandi and Steve get out from the corruption trap.”
He said the movie was shot in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
Misoya disclosed that soon, there will be a premier of the movie across Malawi after it is uploaded on different online platforms for its easy access.
He then appealed for more support from the government and the general public.
“We need support from individuals, organizations, companies and government.
“The future plan is to shoot more professional movies after this one so that we explore Malawias actors have and be a good paying Production,” he appealed.
According to Misoya film industry is one the Industry that can help to solve unemployment challenge Malawi is facing if it is well supported by the government and the people of Malawi.
He said:”In this movie we have more than 50 people working on one project which means there is a high chance to offer employment to these people.
“And if a production is well paid then the production will be able to pay well all the actors and crew.”
