There is good news coming from Accra, Ghana where President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera is attending the 30th Annual African Import-Export Bank Summit, as the bank has committed to finance the country’s Mega Farm initiatives.
This has been revealed when the AFREXIM Bank delegates paid a courtesy call to President Lazarus Chakwera on the sidelines of the summit.
Commenting on the banks decision to fund the Mega Farms, the bank’s President Bennedict Oramah said the they have been persuaded by President Chakwera’s ideas of mega farms and the bank is looking forward to providing financial assistance to the project to enhance productivity.
Said Oramah: “As a bank, we are ready to finance some of Malawi’s flagship projects such as mega farms and industrial parks as one way of enhancing development.”
Mega Farms are are some of President Chakwera’s major milestones aimed at scaling up agricultural productivity and export.
