By Staff Reporter
One of the country’s renowned referee Godfrey Nkhakananga has been assigned a CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Sudan and Niger on slated for March 28,2023.
According to a statement from the continental governing body, the Chipoka Secondary School teacher will be assisted by his compatriots; Clemence Kanduku and Bernadette Kwimbira as his first and second assistant referees respectively whereas Gift Chiko will be the Fourth Official for the match in Omdurman.
Nkhakananga recently attended a refresher course in Egypt, but was unlucky to miss out on the final 28 whistlemen taking charge of the CAF Under-20 African Nations Cup currently underway in the North African country.
Last year, he officiated a number of high-profile matches including the Airtel Top 8 final which Mighty Mukuru Wanderers beat rivals, Nyasa Big Bullets on post-match penalties and also took charge of Bullets’ 4-0 drubbing of the Nomads in the semifinals of the FDH Bank Cup.
