A mammoth crowd turned up at Gadaga village in Chileka, Blantyre to witness the 21st memorial show in honour of the late reggae icon Evison Matafale.
November 27, 2022 marked 21 years since Matafale died at the hands of the police in 2001.
Matafale is the founder of the reggae music group Ma Blacks which organizes the event annually.
A number of artists including Ma Blacks and Gibo Piyason of “Izathera Ma Penate” fame also performed on the day to the excitement of the crowd that filled the Civo Ground in Chileka.
