Gospel music veteran Apostle Masudi Khonje has announced his return to the music scene with a brand-new album after spending nearly 10 years without releasing a full project.
Khonje said the long break from releasing albums allowed him to study and develop new ways of improving his musical talent and ministry through gospel music.
According to the singer, he has already completed recording 10 songs that will make up the upcoming album, which is expected to be launched soon.
He expressed confidence that the new songs will inspire, encourage and spiritually uplift listeners through their powerful messages of faith and hope.
Khonje explained that the album reflects the experience and growth he has gained over the years, promising fans a fresh sound while remaining true to his gospel calling.
The veteran musician first rose to national prominence in 1999 with his hit gospel song “Yimbira Yesu,” which became one of Malawi’s most popular worship songs.
He further cemented his place in the country’s gospel music industry in 2005 with another well-known song, “Tikuyitana,” earning a loyal following across Malawi.
With his long-awaited return, many gospel music lovers are expected to welcome the new album as Apostle Masudi Khonje seeks to reconnect with fans and continue spreading the gospel through music.
