Mnangagwa commends Malawi’s peaceful transition and reaffirms Zimbabwe’s solidarity

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has expressed admiration for Malawi’s peaceful and orderly transition of leadership following the inauguration of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in Blantyre.
Writing on his official Facebook page, President Mnangagwa said he attended the inauguration ceremony where President Mutharika was sworn in for a second term alongside Vice President Justice Dr. Jane Ansah.
He described the event as a proud moment for Malawi and an encouraging signal for democratic governance across the Southern African region.

According to Mnangagwa, the peaceful transfer of power marks an important milestone not only for Malawi’s democracy but also for the region’s shared commitment to constitutionalism and respect for the will of the people.
