Zambian star Abel Chungu joins Rudo Mkukupa Chakwera for electrifying EP listening party in Lilongwe

Zambian gospel sensation Abel Chungu has touched down in Malawi ahead of a highly anticipated two-day Extended Playlist (EP) listening party for local artist Rudo Mkukupa Chakwera.

The festivities are scheduled to kick off on Friday at the serene Kumbali Lodge in Lilongwe, before shifting to the vibrant Kigali Events Centre on Saturday.

The event comes in anticipation of Rudo’s forthcoming five-track EP, which is expected to be officially launched later this month.

Rudo and Abel Chungu have teamed up for a powerful collaboration on a song titled Wabwino, which is featured in the upcoming EP.

Upon Chungu’s arrival at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), Rudo expressed excitement and extended an invitation to Malawians to join what she described as an “exciting experience.”

“People should expect fireworks from the performances ahead. It will be a blend of local and international music. The EP is full of joyful and electric music,” she said.

The listening party promises a rich fusion of sounds and cultures, as it will feature performances from a lineup of celebrated artists.

Among those expected to take the stage at the Kigali Events Centre are Shammah Vocals, Kelvin Sings, KBG, Sir Creedy, Sir Odilo, and Tasha Daffrede.

With the involvement of both local and international acts, the two-day celebration is poised to mark a significant moment in Malawi’s contemporary gospel and inspirational music scene.
