Nation to Bid Farewell to Senior Chief Kwataine, a Champion for Safe Motherhood

The nation will gather on Wednesday to honor the life and legacy of the late Senior Chief McJullior Castens Kwataine (Masina) at his final resting place in Madzanje.

A funeral service of national significance, the burial is expected to be attended by high-ranking government officials and Ngwenyama Inkosi ya Makhosi Gomani V, underscoring the Chief’s profound impact. His remains have already been conveyed to his Madzanje home to lie in state ahead of the ceremony.



Senior Chief Kwataine was widely celebrated for his passionate and unwavering advocacy for the Presidential Initiative on Safe Motherhood, a cause he made central to his leadership. Beyond his traditional role, he was a key figure in national development, serving on the boards of several government parastatals and cementing his reputation as a leader dedicated to progress.
