Yeremia Maliko from Ntchisi has on Friday night unveiled the winner of a K10 million grand prize in the Standard Bank Switch Your Salary and Win Big Promotion.
He was announced the winner during a grand draw of the promotion in Lilongwe which was presided over by Standard Bank plc Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phillip Madinga.
Maliko, who disclosed that he is currently unemployed, said he was overwhelmed by the outcome after Madinga broke the news to him via a phone call.
“I am very excited to win this huge amount of money. I did not expect this to happen to me since there were many people participating in the promotion,”said Maliko.
In his address, Madinga said the bank remains committed to supporting the growth and development of the country.
He said the bank is happy to have seen one of its customers walking away with a K10 million cash prize.
The four months campaign has assisted customers to save by opening PureSave accounts with minimum deposit balances from a threshold of MWK10,000.
