ACB launches Anti-Corruption source book for primary schools

In an effort to teach young learners good values for a corruption-free society,the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education(MoE) and Malawi Institute of Education(MIE) ,has on Friday launched the Anti-corruption Source book for Primary Schools.
Speaking during the launch at Dzenza Primary School Ground in Lilongwe,Ministry of Education Principal Secretary (PS) Chikondano Mussa said the sourcebook will be included in the curriculum to educate young minds.
The PS added that the book will act as an instrument of change that will teach integrity, hard work and honesty.
In her speech, ACB director general Martha Chizuma described the development as a big achievement and historical.
“We recognise that for us to win the battle against corruption, we need to start with the youth for a better future.
“We believe that through this book, we are going to mould the young ones to stand strong and be corrupt free,” she said.
The anti-corruption source book was launched under the theme: “Umunthu Education for a Corruption-Free Society.”
