BSR journalist Jean Yona Nkata laid to rest

The body of Blantyre Synod Radio journalist Jean Yona Nkata, who succumbed to meningitis on July 2,2023, has on Tuesday been laid to rest at Area 18 cemetery in Lilongwe.
The Media Institute for Southern Africa (MISA Malawi) chapter described Nkata’s death as a great loss to the media fraternity.
According to MISA, media fraternity has lost a dedicated member who always strived to provide the public with vital information.
Born on July 31 1991, the late Jean joined the media in 2010.
She once worked for Channel for All Nations radio and TV, and Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
She is survived by a husband.
