Karonga united hires Ikwanga as new head coach

Northern region-TNM Super League side Karonga United have announced the hiring of Kondwa Ikwanga as their head coach.

In a statement posted on facebook, the club’s management says Ikwanga who had previously coached Katoto United, Super Eagles and Jukebox FC will lead United for a season, replacing Christopher Nyambose who parted ways with the club some weeks ago.

“Karonga United fc is herein announcing the hiring of Kondwa Ikwanga, former coach of Katoto United, Super Eagles and Jukebox Fc.

” Ikwanga will lead Karonga United for a season and all terms and conditions have been agreed amicably,” reads part of the statement.

Commenting on his new appointment Ikwanga has promised to help the team win more trophies this season for.

He has however asked for more reenforcements as the team needs to be strengthened.

In 2021, Ikwanga was electd Northern Region Coaches ( NRC) chairperson.
