Revealed, Chizuma’s interdiction linked to her warranty of arrest for Mkaka,Kayuni

It has been emerged that the interdiction of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma is as a result of a warrant of arrest she obtained at the Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate’s Court to arrest the former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Steven Kayuni and the Senior Assistant Chief State Advocate Dzikondianthu Joseph Malunda.



According to a court document 247 Malawi News has seen, dated January 31 2023, Chizuma is said to have accused the two of being involved in the abuse of office after they used the air ticket and travel allowances meant for their official travel to Vienna for personal use.

Meanwhile, both Kayuni and Malunda, are yet to comment on the matter.

The former ACB Director General was interdicted on Wednesday February 1,2023 barely hours after President Lazurus Chakwer reshuffled his cabinet.
