A 23 year old Aaron Phiri has committed suicide by hanging himself in a kitchen in Liwonde, Group village headman Nsamati in Sub T/A Amidu’s area. It has been established that the deceased took this action due to family misunderstandings.
Balaka Police Detective Sub-inspector Chimulu together with Clinical Technician for Balaka District Hospital, Peter Maswanjo have confirmed that the deceased has died to due suffocation
Chimulu says the deceased had issues with his partner hence hanging himself with three ropes. He has however advised people to seek advice from the elderly whenever they have encountered misunderstandings in their families.
Until his unexpected demise, Aaron Phiri who was a football player for Liwonde Roadblock FC, came from Nkwepere village, T/A Nyambi in Machinga.
