The St. Bridget Catholic Choir under Chipini Parish in Zomba Diocese has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its first-ever CD album, ‘Munthu Wolungama’.

The album launch, which took place on June 29, 2025, was attended by Golden Galeza, Shadow Member of Parliament for Changalume Constituency, who praised the choir for their achievement.

Galeza highlighted the importance of gospel music in spreading the gospel and pledged his support to the group.

In a show of appreciation, he donated K250,000 to the choir and announced plans to launch a gospel music competition in Changalume Constituency in July.

The competition aims to nurture singing talents among local choirs.

The Choir’s Chairlady, Ethel Chikalumpha, expressed gratitude for Galeza’s financial support and reaffirmed the group’s commitment to their ministry through singing.

She encouraged music fans to support the choir by purchasing their 10-track CD album, ‘Munthu Wolungama’.

With this debut album, St. Bridget Choir is set to make a lasting impact in the music industry.
