The Development Initiative Network (DIN) Malawi has provided bursaries and learning materials to girls from Nthumba Community Day Secondary School in Chikwawa.
The gesture aims to reduce school dropout rates due to financial constraints and is part of the Girls Voice Amplifier project.
According to Juliet Sithole, Community Engagement and Leasing Officer for DIN Malawi, four girls from the school have benefited from the financial assistance and learning materials.

The support is designed to encourage the girls to stay in school and pursue their dreams.DIN Malawi has also supported girls from Mfera Community Day Secondary School.
The Chief Education Officer for Chikwawa District, Greyson Alindiamawo, commended DIN Malawi for its gesture, noting that many students are on the verge of dropping out of school due to lack of fees and learning resources.
A beneficiary, Esnat David, expressed her gratitude for the support, saying it has given her hope to realize her dreams despite having dropped out of school and gotten married earlier.
