The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Youth Wing has posted a heartfelt message on its official Facebook page, expressing a mix of pride and disappointment over the current state of affairs within the group.
The post reads:
“Ndi team iyi, panopa zinthu zikadakhala zili chimake, koma kusava anthu inu ”
(Translation: “If it were with this team, things would have been at their best by now, but it’s the lack of good people like you 💔”)
The statement, which has quickly attracted attention and engagement from followers, appears to reflect nostalgia for past unity and concern about recent internal divisions or changes in leadership within the youth wing.
Supporters interpreted the post as a call for renewed teamwork, honesty, and commitment to the party’s goals, while others viewed it as an indirect critique of the current direction of the youth structures.
The MCP Youth Wing has been an influential force in mobilizing young supporters and promoting the party’s agenda. However, as with many political youth movements, it continues to face challenges of cohesion, leadership transitions, and maintaining active engagement among its members.
