Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, has emphasized the importance of ethics, accountability, and transparency in public service delivery.
Speaking at the launch of the Public Service Fellowship Programme in Lilongwe, Zamba encouraged young professionals to serve with integrity.
The programme, under the Emerging Public Leaders (EPL) platform, aims to shape young individuals entering the civil service.

Zamba highlighted the need to invest in training young people to work with integrity and serve Malawians effectively.
The programme’s goal is to build a strong community of public servants prioritizing national service over personal needs.
Participants, like James Gwanda, have benefited from the programme, gaining knowledge on serving the community with integrity.
The first cohort of 35 young professionals has been assigned to various ministries, departments, and agencies to learn and contribute to public service leadership and governance.
The programme is also being implemented in other African countries, including Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Kenya.
