MCP primary elections in Rumphi east constituency deemed free, fair, and credible

Honorable Kenneth Chitatata Msonda, an aspirant in the MCP primary elections for Rumphi East Constituency, has issued a press statement declaring the elections free, fair, and credible.

Despite facing usual election challenges, the party members demonstrated their commitment to democracy, and the election process was peaceful, with no ugly incidences reported.

Msonda commended the party members for upholding the party’s core values of unity, loyalty , obedience, and discipline. The delegates showed remarkable patience, waiting over five hours to cast their votes.

Although travel logistics challenges delayed the start of voting, the process remained calm and respectful.

Msonda congratulated Dr. Nyasulu on his victory and wished him well.

Having experienced losing primary elections twice before, Msonda acknowledged that there is indeed life after defeat.

He assured supporters that he would not contest as an independent candidate in Rumphi East Constituency or any other constituency.

Instead, Msonda pledged to work tirelessly to support Dr. Nyasulu and ensure that MCP wins the constituency in the September 16 elections. He also emphasized the need to secure more votes for their presidential candidate, HE Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera.

Msonda extended his heartfelt gratitude to his supporters for their moral, financial, and prayerful support.

He concluded by saying, “May God bless you abundantly. Mu umodzi muli mphamvu!” (God bless the Malawi Congress Party family).

The MCP primary elections in Rumphi East Constituency have set a positive tone for the upcoming general elections.

The peaceful and respectful nature of the elections demonstrates the party’s commitment to democracy and its core values.

As the country prepares for the September 16 elections, the MCP’s show of unity and discipline is a welcome development.
