DPP’s Operations Director Charles Mchacha Urges Kasungu Residents to Join the Party, Citing Its Vision for Development
By Burnett Munthali
In his latest efforts to rally support for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), the party’s Operations Director, Honorable Charles Mchacha, has called upon the people of Kasungu to join the DPP, presenting it as the only party with policies aimed at improving their livelihoods.
Speaking passionately to a crowd in Kasungu, Mchacha emphasized that the DPP remains committed to the progress and development of Malawi, in contrast to other parties which, according to him, have failed to address the nation’s pressing challenges. He highlighted the DPP’s long-standing vision for uplifting communities through economic and social development.
During his address, Mchacha shared the story of Amlamba, a traditional tale, to draw parallels between the current political situation and the need for decisive action. He recounted the narrative of the Amlamba, who failed to heed warnings to pour out water from a pot that had been heated by fire. The consequence of their inaction, he explained, serves as a lesson for the people of Kasungu.
“Do not be like the Amlamba who ignored advice,” Mchacha cautioned. “This is a critical time, and you must make wise decisions about your future. Joining the DPP is the right choice, as it is the only party with a real plan to transform your lives.”
Mchacha didn’t shy away from criticizing the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), suggesting that the party had decayed in its leadership and policies. He argued that the current administration, under MCP, has failed to meet the expectations of the people, particularly in addressing economic challenges and delivering on its promises.
“The Congress has rotted from within,” Mchacha declared. “It has no direction, no clear plan for the future. The DPP, on the other hand, is structured to meet the needs of the people, from Kasungu to every corner of Malawi.”
Mchacha further elaborated on the DPP’s policies, citing the party’s focus on infrastructure development, job creation, and improving access to education and healthcare. He reassured the people that the DPP is committed to ensuring that resources are allocated equitably across the country to foster sustainable development.
“We are the party that builds roads, schools, and hospitals. We create jobs and improve the lives of Malawians. The DPP has a clear agenda for development, and it’s time for Kasungu to be part of this vision,” Mchacha said.
Urging the residents of Kasungu to join the DPP, Mchacha made it clear that the future of Malawi depends on the choices made today. He encouraged them to reject inaction and to take their futures into their own hands by aligning with the party that has consistently delivered on its promises.
“Do not sit back and watch your country fall apart. Join the DPP, a party that knows how to lead and how to bring prosperity to all Malawians,” Mchacha concluded.
As the 2025 elections draw nearer, the DPP’s campaign efforts, led by figures like Charles Mchacha, are intensifying across the country. In Kasungu, Mchacha’s message resonated with many, as he urged them to choose a party focused on development and progress. With this call to action, Mchacha hopes that the people of Kasungu will heed the lessons of the Amlamba and take decisive steps towards securing a brighter future under the leadership of the DPP.
