President Chakwera appointed IDA Africa champion

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has been appointed International Development Association (IDA) Africa Champion to lead Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states.
President Chakwera was appointed champion at the just ended World Bank IDA Africa Heads of State Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in Malawi’s and the SADC region’s journey towards economic development and prosperity.
As IDA Africa Champion, the Malawi leader will play a crucial role in shaping development policies and decisions, leveraging his exceptional leadership and expertise to drive growth and transformation in the SADC region.
