Former Mwanza Central legislator Nicholas Dausi has confirmed that he will contest as an independent candidate in the September 16 elections
Dausi said his decision follows his assessment of the current political landscape.
“You know that all along I was with DPP, but they removed me, and that is why I am standing alone,” said Dausi.
He revealed that his symbol for the election will be the *Mtalala* tree (Mango tree).
When asked why he has chosen to remain in politics, Dausi responded, “My child, sometimes simplicity is not foolishness.”
