Police in Chintheche in Nkhata Bay District, are keeping in custody 21-year-old Kalista Msiska for allegedly cutting iron sheet on a roof of a shop belonging to Connex Majawa with intention to gain entry into it to steal.
According to Majawa, the suspect was on Sunday December 3, 2023 midnight, spotted by a watchman while he had already created an entry on the roof by cutting an iron sheet.
The watchman made an effort to arrest the suspect who was found with breaking instruments.
He took the suspect to Chintheche Police Post where police charged him with breaking into a building with intent to commit a felony therein.
Kalista Msiska who hails from Chikhumbi Village, Traditional Authority Malanda in Nkhata Bay District, will appear before court soon.
