Chakwera foreign trips earning Malawi more resource envelopes

Every time President Lazarus Chakwera goes out on international trips, Malawi gets instant positive responses to his trips, such has also been the case with his very recent trip to Saudi Arabia and Egypt respectively earning Malawi million of dollars for development.
The trip that started with President Chakwera attending the Saudi Arabia-Africa Summit in Riyadh among other engagements saw President Chakwera leading Malawi in signing a development agreement of $20 million of United States which is channeled towards construction of much awaited Mangochi-Makanjira road.
Before returning home, Chakwera proceeded to Cairo in Egypt where among major engagements he attended the Intra-Africa Trade Fair Summit where he also got Malawi a share from the US$2billion meant for five African countries including Egypt, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Chad towards agricultural production.
For Malawi, the AfreximBank development agreement will mainly target Mega Farms and Industrial Parks that government of President Chakwera has embarked on for the country’s more agricultural production and value addition.
Meanwhile, President Chakwera has returned home in the afternoon of Tuesday, 14th November, 2023 through Kamuzu International Airport, and is expected to address the nation on Wednesday 15th November, 2023 at 7 O’clock in the evening.
