Malawi up for IVETA conference this year

Malawi will this year host the International Vocational Education Training Association (IVETA) conference.
Disclosing this in Blantyre, Executive Director for TEVETA Elwin Sichiola said the three-day conference which will run from November 14 in Mangochi, will gather over 100 delegates from 50 countries across the world.
“The conference will accord us an opportunity to showcase what we are doing to empower young people, through vocational education and training,” said Sichiola.
He added : “With over 100 inter delegates participating, we would also like to showcase Malawi as a tourism destination; hence, the need to have more partners.”
Sichiola said to register for the conference, Iveta subscribed members are required to pay K434 000 ($400) while non-members will be required to pay K488 000 ($450).
He indicated that this will be the second time for Malawi to host the conference.
IVETA is a network of vocational educators dedicated to the advancement of high-quality vocational education across the world.
