Malawi’s political parties challenged on coexistence
By Chisomo Phiri
The Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) has challenged political parties in the country to always co-exisit and conduct political rallies free from violence and conflict.
This comes as the country is approaching 2025 tripartite elections.
Speaking in Dowa on Wednesday after engaging district political leaders from Ntchisi and Dowa , CMD Executive Director Kizito Tenthani said politics is about development besides changing the standard of living for people in a particular country.
According to Tenthani, political conflicts are inevitable but should not degenerate into violence it has always been the case in Malawi.
Among other district leaders tipped on this were from from DPP, UTM, MCP, UDF and AFORD.
