Malawi leader, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has conveyed a condolence message to the family of Member of Parliament for Dedza Central Constituency Daniel Chiwere following the death of the MP.
Late Chiwere died on Monday 17th July at Kamuzu Central Hospital where he was receiving pneumonia treatment.
In his eulogy, Chakwera described Chiwere a very humble and dedicated Member of Parliament. Chakwera urged other members of Parliament to emulate Chiwere’s life.
Chiwere was first elected Member of Parliament for Dedza Central Constituency in 2014 and he died while serving his second term as an MP following his re-election during 2019’s tripartite elections.
Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, First and Second Deputy Speakers of Parliament, and Members of Parliament were among thousands attending the funeral.
