She said the team had run out of ideas on how to address the funding gap until they remembered that the country has generous individuals such as Chacha.

Mkama-Kumilamba expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, acknowledging that without the support, the team would have faced serious logistical challenges.

On her part, Chacha said she did not hesitate to support the team because she firmly believes in the spirit of sharing.

She emphasized that she would be happy to see the team enjoy the tournament without the burden of worrying about their next meal.

Blantyre Tremors are among the 11 teams competing in the FDH Bank Premier Netball League playoffs.

The playoffs are designed to identify four successful teams who will qualify to join the eight already-seeded teams in the newly introduced 12-team national netball league.

Chacha’s timely donation is being celebrated not only by the team but also by netball supporters who recognize the importance of community support in uplifting sports in Malawi.
