Masambanjati Police Women Network Donates School Uniforms to Vulnerable Pupils

By Jones Gadama
In a heartwarming display of community support, the Masambanjati Police Women Network has donated school uniforms to 20 pupils at Chikumba Primary School in Thyolo.
The donation, comprising uniforms for 14 girls and six boys, was made possible through the efforts of the network, led by Officer-in-Charge George Kaleso.
The event began with a solidarity march from Masambanjati Police Station to the school, showcasing the network’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children in the community.
During the donation ceremony, Kaleso emphasized the importance of discipline and hard work in studies, urging the learners to stay focused and committed to their education.
Kaleso also appealed to parents to ensure that children remain in school, avoid early marriages, and refrain from engaging in activities that might hinder their academic progress.

He further encouraged community members to report any cases of child abuse to the police or relevant authorities without delay.
Headteacher Antony Yolamu expressed his gratitude for the support, stating that the gesture would significantly improve the welfare of the beneficiary pupils.
The donation is a testament to the Masambanjati Police Women Network’s dedication to giving back to the community and promoting education as a key driver of development.
The network’s initiative aligns with broader efforts to support vulnerable children and promote education in Malawi.
By providing essential items like school uniforms, the network is helping to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
