The Deputy Secretary General for the UTM party, Ben Chidyawonga, has sensationally resigned from his post and dumped the party altogether.
Chidyawonga, who also served as the Chairperson for the party’s Convention Committee, confirmed the bombshell news during an interview with Zodiak Online.
He revealed that he made the radical choice to walk away from politics to focus his energy elsewhere.
“Everything has its time; I have decided to leave politics and pursue other things. It’s not like I saw any problems,” Chidyawonga stated.
When contacted for a response, UTM Spokesperson Felix Njawala claimed ignorance of the resignation, stating he needed time to investigate the matter.
