MISA Malawi receives k4.5 million boost for press freedom day celebrations

The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi Chapter has received a significant boost of K4.5 million from the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) ahead of the Annual Press Freedom Day celebrations in Mzuzu.

The donation was made in Lilongwe, where AFIDEP’s Chief of Operations, Wicklife Kinda, emphasized the crucial role media professionals play in fostering democracy and advancing the health sector.

Kinda said the donation will support journalists’ awards recognizing stories that advocate for resource mobilization in the health sector.

MISA Malawi Executive Member, Nathan Majawa, hailed AFIDEP for the support and pledged continued collaboration to enhance health sector development in the country.
