Several political parties, including MAFUNDE, the Freedom Party, and the People’s Development Party (PDP), are participating in the ongoing ceremony where the People’s Party (PP) is unveiling its development manifesto in Lilongwe.
The event has brought together political leaders and supporters from across the country as the PP outlines its vision and key priorities ahead of the September elections.

The Freedom Party, led by Khumbo Kachali, is among the notable parties attending the launch, signaling a spirit of collaboration and shared aspirations for national development.
Also present at the ceremony is the People’s Development Party (PDP), whose leader Kondwani Nankhumwa has recently emerged as a significant political figure with growing influence in Malawi’s political landscape.
MAFUNDE, under the leadership of George Mnesa, is also taking part in the event, further highlighting the collective interest in the PP’s development agenda and its proposed strategies for economic growth and good governance.
The presence of these parties at the PP’s manifesto launch demonstrates a broader commitment among opposition and allied political players to engage in dialogue and showcase their visions for Malawi’s future.
The manifesto launch is expected to set the tone for the upcoming campaign period as parties seek to present realistic, people-centered policies that resonate with the electorate.
