Bishop Kalonga’s consecration is scheduled for July 13 at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe, with President Chakwera set to attend.

Rt. Rev. Bishop William Mchombo, leader of the delegation, expressed gratitude for President Chakwera’s support of religious events and commended his leadership in promoting people-centered politics and combating violence.

Mchombo also acknowledged the President’s efforts in infrastructure development and empowering youth and women.

President Chakwera emphasized the importance of equipping the youth, who comprise the majority of the population, with resources to contribute to national development.

He highlighted the need for strategic infrastructure development to ensure effective projects.

Bishop Designate Kalonga brings a wealth of experience, having served as a Parish Priest and Vicar General.

His background in Higher Management will likely serve him well in his new role.
