Malawi’s First Lady, Madame Monica Chakwera, is making waves on the global stage, attending the Third Annual Global Academy for First Ladies and Gentlemen in New York, USA.

The academy, organized by the Global First Ladies Alliance (GFLA), brings together influential leaders to share experiences and tackle pressing global issues.



Madame Chakwera’s presence at the academy highlights her commitment to leadership development and her role as a champion for women’s empowerment and health in Malawi.

Through her Shaping Our Future Foundation, she has been a driving force behind initiatives that support girls’ education and women’s leadership.

The academy’s focus on themes such as “Leading from Within” and “Preparing Youth for the Future” is particularly relevant to Madame Chakwera’s work.
