Malawi mourns loss of esteemed Obstetrician Dr. Victoria Bobe following fatal attack

Malawi’s health sector has been struck by shock and grief following reports that distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr. Victoria Bobe, was killed by armed robbers.
Dr. Bobe served as a senior consultant at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and was also a lecturer at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS).
According to reports, she was attacked by armed assailants, an assault that tragically led to her death.

Colleagues and health professionals have described Dr. Bobe as a dedicated specialist who devoted her life to saving the lives of mothers and babies.
She was also deeply committed to mentoring young doctors, shaping the next generation of medical professionals in Malawi.
